COVID-19 Response: Cutting Prices, Productive Quarantine

This is really happening. It is kind of hard to believe, but it is. It feels unreal – like everything we have seen in TV, movies and video games is almost happening.

Yes, I am talking about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. These are understandably hard times and we need to stay together to overcome this. There will be a temporary dip in the economy.

But unlike the past, I believe we have the great power of the internet uniting us all in spite of such events. That is our strength.

Digital companies of all kinds have been contributing as much as they can. I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t an inspiration.

Digital platforms we depend on daily here at KodeKloud have all removed limits, reduced prices and started to offer virtual training and produce content to help their customers grow in the current times.

What are we doing about this?

Most of you already know we are a tiny company and our team is 100% remote.

We want to do whatever we can on our part to help our students.

So we are announcing something we haven’t before. We are reducing all our prices 50% effective immediately until further notice.

We have never done this before. But with whatever is happening in the world right now, we feel like this is the right thing to do.

KodeKloud will continue to function as usual. We were already a fully remote team. So there won’t be any disruption of our platform or support.

Also if you are a verified university/college student, or a teacher, we offer even more discounts during this period. Please get in touch with our support from your official email to know more.

What can you do for the world?

Best thing you can do is to inspire and help everyone by sharing your knowledge and progress. We are isolated and we need each other to become a source of inspiration for others. We need to show that fear and panic is not the only option.

Find ways to increase productivity for others – individuals and businesses using your skills. Reach out to people and have virtual conversations, build relationships.

We need each other. We are in this together more than ever.

Working in IT, we need to lead the efforts. We are the most equipped to serve the planet right now. We enable data flow across the planet, we enable communication, we enable connection, we enable the internet.

We enable life, even when isolated. That is the power of IT.

What you can do for yourself (that will help everyone)?

While it is undeniably a tragedy, I think we can still use this downtime to upgrade ourselves, learn new skills, get certified. Whatever it is that you have been putting away due to work pressure, ‘not having time’ etc.

After all, everything will come back to normal eventually. We want to help you reinvent yourself and become more powerful during this time so you can come out stronger to help rebuild the economy by doing your part.

Also believe it or not, helping yourself is the best way to help the world right now. There is already a sharp increase in demand and usage of online services, meetings, communication etc. World will need upskilled people to support whatever follows from now on.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Please stay home. Practice strict social distancing. Advice others to do the same.

And please contact us if you think we can help in any way, we want to hear from you.
